2nd Mad Science Assembly

We are selling tickets for our fun and educational Mad Science Assembly Program "Spin, Pop, Boom" to be held this Friday, February 5 from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the social hall.  Tickets are $5.00 each for children (ages 3+) through adults.  Children under age 3 may attend for free.  The doors will open at 7:15 p.m. and additional tickets will be available.  Friends and family are welcome!

If possible, please pay for your tickets in advance by sending in the money and pink slip that was sent home last week.  This will help us to know how many chairs to set-up and to avoid a long line at the door.  If your child participated in the science fair, he/she already received a coupon for two free tickets.  This coupon can be handed in at the door for two admissions. If it's been lost, don't worry.  We will have a list of the participants.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Two to three parents are needed to help collect and sell tickets before the program from 7:00-7:30 p.m.  Eight to ten parents are needed to help rearrange the chairs after the program from about 8:30-9 p.m.  If interested in earning some volunteer credit at the Mad Science event, please email me directly at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Manarah Academy 1st Annual Science Fair

The school held it’s first-ever Science Fair on Saturday, January 9 in the Social Hall. Thirty-five students Alena Siddiqui - PreKfrom Preschool through Grade 4 created exhibits with the help of their parents and presented them to close to 100 children and adults at the fair.  A wide variety of scientific topics were covered:  Density, Volcanoes, Rainbows, Dinosaur Diets, the Sense of Smell, and the Solar System, to name a few.  Attendees commented on how impressed they were with the knowledge and creativity displayed by even our youngest “Jr. Scientists.”

Each exhibitor was awarded a green and gold participant ribbon and two free tickets to our upcoming” Spin, Pop, Boom” assembly program with Mad Science of the Lehigh Valley.  This event will be held on Friday, February 5 from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Social Hall.  Advance tickets are available at the school for $5.00 each (ages 3 through adult.)  Children under 3 years old may attend for free.  Doors open at 7:15 p.m.

Thank you, Ms. Kim (Grade 3 teacher) and Sr. Vicki (Grade 2 teacher) for coordinating these special programs for our students and their families.  Special thanks to Sr. Rose (PTO President) for organizing parent volunteers to help with these fun and educational events!
