Asslamau Aleikum Brs/Srs:

For the first time, MALVIA is holding a "MALVIA Spirit Week" which presents what MALVIA is in a nut shell. During this week, the children will expereince educational, fun, and interesting activities. It is meant for students to have one strong great memory about MALVIA that will last with them for a very long time. It is also an excellent chance to show the outsiders who we are.

"MALVIA Spirit Week" will take place June 7 through June 11.  Each day special activities are planned to increase students’ morale and educational experiences.

Activity Schedule:

• Monday- Hooray for Malvia (Pep Rally, Make Posters about what is great about my school, and parade at the end of day
• Tuesday-Let the Games Begin (Field Day-2 hrs for physical development, and board games for ½ hr to promote cooperative and social skills)
• Wednesday- Everybody Read (Focus on literacy, visit from librarian)
• Thursday- Under the Sea Theme (Educational and Social activities provided throughout the morning- Art, Cooking, Science, Read Aloud, Physical Activities, Cognitive, and Social Studies)
• Friday - I Love Islam (Speaker, Games, and Songs of Islam.  Cultural dress and food day)

Regular Academics will take place between special activities.

As you can see from the schedule above, Wednesday, June 10th is the reading day. We are looking for filling the following spots with public figures to read to our children. We have already booked Mr. Ed Pawlowski, Mayor of Allentown for the time slot 10:15-10:35 AM - Please, if you have any contact with any public figure's office, you can forward this email as appropriate and ask if she/he can come to our school on June 10th, and read for our children

We need the guest to read during one or more slots of the following:
