Assalamo aliekom Parents:

Thank you for your interest in our Islamic Academy.

Hard to believe that it is time to talk about enrollment for another great year at MALVIA. As you may know, we are currently in our fourth year of operation and presently have 72 students attending in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3. Depending on the number of students, Inshallah we plan to add Grade 4 for the 2008-2009 school year.

We currently have a staff of ten qualified teachers and teacher’s assistants. For the academic subjects, we are following the curriculum of the Parkland School District, one of the top districts in the Lehigh Valley area. For Islamic and Arabic Studies, most of our materials are from IQRA’ International Education Foundation. Both curricula were carefully selected to provide our students with the best possible academic and religious education. Parent involvement in the education process is highly encouraged through regular progress reports, conferences, PTO meetings, social events, and volunteer opportunities.

Enclosed you will find the student registration forms for the 2008-2009 academic year. Please fill out the forms completely and return to the Academy as soon as possible. Early enrollment will help us to plan how the students will be grouped, how many teachers will be needed, and how many books and other materials need to be ordered. It will also ensure your child’s enrollment in the school since registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like more information about the Academy, please send an email to info@malvia.org or call us at 610-799-6223.
